With this responsibility in mind, as the Data Controller under the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“Law”) and related legislation, we process your personal data within the framework specified below.

Collection, Processing and Purposes of Processing Personal Data

In order to provide you with high-standard services, we obtain your personal data verbally, in writing, visually, or electronically from Call Centers, the internet, mobile applications, physical locations and similar channels, depending on the nature of the service provided.

In this context, the main general and special categories of personal data, including personal health data, which are necessary for the conduct of all medical diagnosis, examination, treatment and care services and obtained for this purpose, are listed below;

• Your name, surname, Turkish Republic Identity Number, if you are not a Turkish citizen your passport number or temporary Turkish Republic Identity Number, place and date of birth, marital status, gender information and other identification data, and a photocopy of your Turkish Republic Identity Card or Driver's License that you have submitted,
• Your contact information such as your address, telephone number, and email address,
• Your financial information such as your bank account number and IBAN number,
• Your health and sexual life data obtained during the performance of medical diagnosis, treatment and care services, such as your laboratory and imaging results, test results, examination data, and prescription information that you have submitted for tracking purposes in your file,

• Closed-circuit camera system footage and audio recorded during your visits to our hospitals Your records,
• Your voice call recordings kept when you contact our Call Center,
• Your data regarding private health insurance and Social Security Institution for the purpose of financing and planning health services,
• Your vehicle license plate information if you use parking and valet services,
• Browsing information, IP address, browser information obtained during the use of our website and mobile application, and medical documents, surveys, form information and location data that you have voluntarily provided.

Your personal data and special categories of personal data listed above may be processed for the following purposes:

• Protection of public health, preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, treatment and care services,
• Sharing information requested with the Ministry of Health and other public institutions and organizations in accordance with relevant legislation,
• Fulfillment of legal and regulatory requirements,
• Financing your health services, covering your examination, diagnosis and treatment expenses, sharing information requested with private insurance companies within the scope of eligibility inquiry by Patient Services, Financial Affairs, Marketing departments,
• Informing you about your appointment through our Call Center and Digital Channels,
• Verification of your identity by Patient Services, our Healthcare Professionals and Call Center departments,
• Planning and management of internal institutional operations by Hospital Management,
• Conducting analysis by Quality, Patient Experience, and Information Systems departments to improve healthcare services,
• Providing training to our employees by Human Resources and Quality departments,
• Monitoring and preventing abuse and unauthorized transactions by Audit and Information Systems departments,
• Implementing risk management and quality improvement activities by Quality, Patient Experience, and Information Systems departments,
• Billing for our services by Patient Services, Finance, and Marketing departments,
• Answering all your questions and complaints regarding our healthcare services by Hospital Management, Patient Experience, Patient Rights, and Call Center departments,
• Taking all necessary technical and administrative measures within the scope of data security of our hospital systems and applications by Hospital Management and Information Systems departments Taking action,
• Participation in campaigns and providing campaign information by Marketing, Media and Communication, and Call Center departments, designing and delivering special content, tangible and intangible benefits on web and mobile channels,
• Measuring, increasing and researching patient satisfaction by Hospital Management, Patient Rights, and Patient Experience departments,
• Enabling the fulfillment of training and educational activities by educational institutions with which the institution collaborates.

Your “Personal and Special Category Data” mentioned above may be kept in physical and electronic archives within Başkent University Alanya Application and Research Center and external service providers with great care and compliance with the provisions of the legislation.

Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred within the framework of the Basic Law on Health Services No. 3359, the Decree Law No. 663 on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Health and its Affiliated Institutions, the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, the Private Hospitals Regulation, the Regulation on the Processing of Personal Health Data and the Protection of Privacy, and the regulations of the Ministry of Health and other legislation, and for the purposes explained above;

• Ministry of Health, sub-units affiliated with the ministry and family medicine centers,
• Social Security Institution,
• Private insurance companies (health, pension, life insurance, etc.),
• General Directorate of Security and other law enforcement agencies,
• General Directorate of Population,
• Turkish Pharmacists Association,
• Judicial authorities,
• Laboratories, medical centers, ambulances, medical devices and healthcare providers located domestically or abroad with whom we cooperate for medical diagnosis and treatment,
• The healthcare institution to which the patient is referred or to which the patient applies,
• Your legal representatives to whom you have given authorization,
• Third parties from whom we receive consultancy services, including lawyers, tax consultants and auditors,
• Regulatory and supervisory institutions and official authorities,
• Your data may be shared with systems within or outside the country and/or with the affiliated units of our Hospital

Method and Legal Basis for Personal Data Collection

Your personal data is collected and processed in any verbal, written, visual or electronic medium for the purposes stated above and to ensure that all activities within the scope of Başkent University Alanya Application and Research Center are carried out within the legal framework, and that Başkent University Alanya Application and Research Center fully and properly fulfills its contractual and legal obligations. Furthermore, as stated in Article 6, paragraph 3 of the Law, personal data relating to health and sexual life may only be processed by persons or authorized institutions and organizations under an obligation of confidentiality, without seeking the explicit consent of the data subject, for the purpose of protecting public health, preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, treatment and care services, and planning and managing health services and their financing.

Your Rights Regarding the Protection of Personal Data

In accordance with the Law and relevant legislation;
