The Pulmonology Department specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of diseases affecting the lungs, bronchi, respiratory tract, and thoracic cavity. The department manages chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, lung infections, interstitial lung diseases, and lung cancer, among other respiratory conditions.
Patients are thoroughly evaluated using advanced diagnostic methods to assess respiratory complaints. Modern techniques such as spirometry, pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, computed tomography (CT), and bronchoscopy are used to provide accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment plans.
Long-term follow-up for chronic diseases is a priority. Patients with asthma and COPD receive regular monitoring, medication management, and lifestyle recommendations to improve symptom control and overall quality of life.
Acute respiratory infections and pneumonia are treated with prompt and effective interventions. Necessary tests are performed, appropriate medical treatments are administered, and intensive care support is provided when required to ensure patient safety.
Diagnosis and management of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies are carried out through a multidisciplinary approach. Collaboration with thoracic surgery, oncology, and radiology departments ensures the most effective treatment plan for each patient.
Outpatient services are provided for sleep disorders, shortness of breath, chronic cough, and other respiratory symptoms. Patients receive guidance throughout diagnosis and treatment, improving overall health outcomes.
Smoking cessation programs, respiratory rehabilitation, and lifestyle counseling are integral parts of the department’s services. These programs help control existing symptoms and prevent future complications.
Our mission is to protect the respiratory health of all patients, ensure early diagnosis of chronic and acute lung diseases, and manage treatment processes safely, effectively, and patient-centered. The Pulmonology Department is committed to providing scientific, compassionate, and high-quality care to every patient.
