Coronary Angiography is an invasive diagnostic procedure that provides detailed evaluation of the coronary arteries supplying the heart. It is considered the most reliable and effective method to detect narrowing, blockage, or abnormalities in heart vessels.
The procedure is usually performed through catheterization of the femoral or radial artery. A special contrast dye is injected through the catheter, and X-ray imaging visualizes the coronary arteries.
Angiography allows precise assessment of coronary artery disease, heart attack risk, chest pain, and exercise-induced ischemic conditions. The findings guide decisions regarding medical treatment, surgical intervention, or percutaneous procedures.
During the procedure, patients are continuously monitored. Blood pressure, heart rhythm, and oxygen levels are closely observed. The procedure is typically brief, and most patients can be discharged on the same day.
Following coronary angiography, some patients may require balloon angioplasty (PTCA) or stent placement. These interventions aim to open blocked or narrowed arteries and restore blood flow to the heart muscle.
Our department provides a multidisciplinary approach with a cardiology team and experienced technical staff. Patients receive thorough guidance and follow-up care before and after the procedure.
Our mission is to ensure early and accurate diagnosis of coronary artery diseases, determine appropriate treatment options, and enhance patients’ quality of life through modern and safe diagnostic methods.
